Sole Separates – Voltaire – Saint Croix
I purchased this back in 2009. Unfortunately for me there weren’t that many negative reviews. When I first got them they were great. They were very comfortable. Very light, breathable, and best of all waterproof. But as other customers have noted the soles start separating from the bottom, particularly near the front of the shoe. I tried gluing it back and it ended up separating again. I’m disappointed, and would not recommend buying these shoes. I gave it a 2-star rating because it is at least waterproof.

I got a cobbler to glue it back on and it is coming off again.

And now they have started squeaking!

i won’t be sucked in to buying anymore tevas by there sporty good looks….they all fall apart quick and easy….maybe they’d be ok if a person wore them say, one day a year and not in the water! If you buy any then go ahead and buy some glue to go along with them cuz you’ll need it to put the bottoms back on.

I love Teva shoes. My family and I have about 12 pairs. However, like the other reviewers say, the quality seems to be declining, this pari will rub your insole and it will make your feet stink. I washed them by hand to try to get the odor out which failed. So, I washed them on gentle cycle in cold water and the black rubber sole delaminated from the remainder of the shoe making them worthless. I had another pair of Teva’s recently that did the same thing and I couldn’t get the sole to reattach properly with any adhesive. Do not waste your money on this shoe.

In the past I was a great fan of teva products. Lately looks like their quality has drastically fallen. I purchased this product in summer time. The second day coming out of water left shoe fall into pieces. As this was not enough, keeping them for a long time would cause a bad odor to my feet. Same thing happened to me with raptor sandals. Third day, right shoe was gone. Nice looking shoe but a total disappointment.

If you are looking for the true original, This is Not It!

The original was truly a great sandal. Known for it’s simplicity, a flip flop that could be slipped on or off and a secure sandal when the strap was used around the heel. When not in use the strap was held out of the way, allowed easy entry and was one less wear spot on one’s feet. This sandal has a permenant heel strap and does not slip on easily.

If you have always longed for the original, don’t buy this.
